The Opportunity
You'll play an important role in supporting our Travel Consultants by ensuring their bookings are processed promptly, accurately and in line with our established procedures.
Working across booking systems, supplier documentation and financial records, you'll make sure the information is correct, complete and ready for the next stage of the customer journey.
And when something doesn't quite add up?
You'll investigate, follow up with the right people and help resolve issues before they become bigger problems.
What You'll Be Doing
• Process new bookings submitted by Travel Consultants using iSell, Vision and other relevant systems.
• Check supplier confirmations and invoices against booking information, including passenger details, travel dates, holiday components, costs and commission.
• Identify missing information, discrepancies or conflicting details and follow these up with Travel Consultants or suppliers.
• Maintain accurate booking records, financial information and status updates so colleagues can clearly see what has been completed.
• Prioritise bookings in line with agreed service levels, flagging urgent issues promptly.
• Support booking amendments and related post-booking administration when required.
• Communicate professionally with Travel Consultants, suppliers and colleagues to keep bookings progressing.
• Follow company procedures and relevant travel industry requirements, escalating anything that needs further attention.
You'll be joining us during a particularly busy period, so the ability to work accurately, manage your workload and maintain attention to detail will be essential.
About You
We're looking for someone who already knows their way around travel bookings and can settle into an established process quickly.
You'll bring:
• At least two years' experience in travel operations, booking administration or a similar travel industry role.
• Practical experience handling travel bookings, supplier confirmations and invoices.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when checking passenger information, travel arrangements, costs and commission.
• Confidence using travel booking systems and managing high volumes of work accurately.
• Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Clear, professional communication with colleagues, Travel Consultants and suppliers.
• A proactive approach to identifying discrepancies, following up queries and resolving issues.
• The ability to learn established processes quickly and contribute from the outset.
• Availability to work Saturdays, with one weekday off as part of your five-day working week.
Even better if you have:
• Experience using iSell or Vision.
• Previous experience within a travel agency, tour operator or travel support team.
• Familiarity with ABTA requirements and package travel processes.
You don't need to know every system from day one, but you do need a solid foundation in travel bookings and the confidence to work through the detail independently.
The Person We're Looking For
• You're organised, dependable and naturally thorough.
• You enjoy working through booking information, spotting inconsistencies and making sure nothing important gets missed.
• You can manage a busy workload without sacrificing accuracy, communicate clearly when something needs resolving and know when to escalate an issue.
• Most importantly, you're someone the team can rely on to get bookings processed correctly and on time.
Why Not Just Travel?
This is an opportunity to put your travel industry experience to good use with an established travel business during an important peak period.
You'll join a supportive Operations team, work closely with our network of Travel Consultants and play a valuable part in ensuring customers' travel arrangements are handled with care and accuracy.
With a five-month fixed-term contract and the option to work remotely or from Bournemouth, this could be a particularly good fit if you're available for a short-term travel operations opportunity.
